Heres the story:
I was in San Diego for Thanksgiving (took me a while to get the pics on this computer) and my mom and Grandma had just gotten back from the store when all of the sudden they notice the Praying Mantis on the car next to them so they called me and my aunt took a ziplock bag and caught it (rolls eyes a bit) and poked small holes in it. My Aunt gave it to me and I showed it around to all of Cousins and siblings and watched it for a little while.
I soon felt sorry for it so once I was able to grab the camera and get away from my aunt and her Waxing crazedness (she waxed my eyebrows >.> I brought it outside and made a series of pictures with it. This is the best one out of the ones I have, it looks sooooo neat.
It was pretty neat to hold it and have it crawl over my hand and stuff and watch my brother freak a bit when he thought it was attacking him (Even though he held it a while earlier and he's 12, though he could have been showing off to tease my little cousin) I enjoyed observing its behaviors and then finally setting it free on a plant.
yeah well it does take long for them to actully swallow their prey... thats why you can see her back a little red, she probably ate a couple a minutes before you found her...

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
